Add product

To add new products to the system, follow these steps. If you want to import a product database instead, see the section on import.

Navigate to the product area

  1. Navigate to the product area
    • Click on Products -> Add.
  2. Fill in basic product information
    • Name and article number: Enter the product name and article number.
    • Manufacturer: Select the manufacturer (can be left blank). If you select “New manufacturer”, a new field will open to enter this.
    • Price: Please indicate the price including VAT. The VAT rate is indicated separately.
    • Stock profile: Select the status of the product (e.g. In preparation, Active, Out of stock, Expired).
    • Weight: Indicate the weight of the product in grams.
    • Purchase price: Fill in the current purchase price.
    • EAN code: Fill in the EAN code for scanner use.
    • VAT: Select the applicable VAT rate (if none is indicated, 25% is assumed).
    • Type: Choose between service item, goods item or gift card.
    • Stock balance: Activate stock balance by checking the box; enter the current stock balance. If several stocks exist, they are displayed here.
    • Accounting account: Enter accounting accounts if necessary.
    • Description: Add a description using the editor at the bottom. You can also include images or links if the checkout or e-commerce supports it.
  3. Categories
    • Select the category to which the product belongs. Click on the plus signs to expand the tree and select one or more categories.

Variant management of product

If you want to add variants to the product, click on the add variants button at the top of the page.

  1. Fill in variant information
    • Name: Enter the name of the variant (e.g. with an extension such as quantity, number or color).
    • Article number: Enter your own article number (the system will suggest a free number).
    • Stock profile: Select the status (active, inactive, etc.) of the variant.
    • Weight: Enter the weight (important for e-commerce or shipping between stores).
    • Purchase price: Enter the price including VAT (the VAT rate is taken from the original article).
    • EAN: Fill in the barcode to enable scanner use or search.
    • Feature: Select the feature that distinguishes the variant (e.g. color, size).
    • Value: Select the value of the property (e.g. specific color or size).
    • Stock item: Check to activate the stock balance function and show the stock balance for each store.
    • Plus and X: Use plus to add more properties and values, and X to remove fields.

Follow these steps carefully to ensure that the product and its variants are correctly registered in the system.
