Steps to connect the Worldline Axium DX8000 to the POS system (via Wi-Fi)
Turn on the terminal
- Press the power button to start the terminal. Wait until it is fully powered up.
Navigate to Settings
- On the terminal screen, use the touch screen or the buttons to navigate to Settings.
Go to Network settings
- In Settings, select the option called Network Settings.
- Please enter your password. If this is missing, please contact Worldline customer service.
Connect to WiFi
- When you are in the WiFi settings, select the option to Use WiFi. The terminal will start searching for available WiFi networks.
- Wait until the list of networks appears on the screen.
Choose your WiFi network
- Scroll through the list of available networks and select the network you want to connect to. If your network does not appear, make sure you are within range and that your router is turned on.
Enter WiFi password
- Once you have selected your WiFi network, you will be asked to enter the password for the network.
- Enter the password using the terminal keyboard and confirm by pressing “OK” or “Confirm”.
Confirm the connection
- After entering the password and pressing “OK”, the terminal should automatically try to connect to the WiFi network.
- Wait a few seconds while the terminal verifies and connects to the network. If the connection is successful, you will receive a message that the WiFi connection is active.
Get IP address
- Click on your network.
- Select Advanced.
- Scroll down and write down your IP address, for example (192.0.0.1).
Exit and save settings
- Once you have connected the terminal to WiFi and verified that the connection is working, you can return to the main menu or close the settings.
- The WiFi settings are automatically saved, and the terminal will try to connect to this network the next time it is started.
Activate payment terminal in the POS system
- Log in at the checkout.
- Press the three dots at the top right.
- Select Settings.
- Under Terminal select Worldline Terminal.
- Select Axium RX 8000.
- Enter the terminal’s IP address that you saved from the Get IP address step.
