Exporting products for mass update

When you want to make major updates to your products, the export function is a handy tool. You can customize the export to work efficiently with the right products and attributes.

Settings for the export

  1. Clear HTML from text fields
Enabling this setting removes HTML code from text fields such as product description, making the file easier to read and edit.
  2. Stock profile
Select the status you want to filter the products by, for example Active in POS, to export only products with this status.
  3. Manufacturer
Select the manufacturer (e.g. Boss or Gant) if you only want to export products from specific brands.
  4. Shipping method
For e-commerce products, you can select a specific shipping method. If different carriers handle different categories of products, select a carrier to filter out products with that particular method.
  5. Created date from/to
Use date range to export only products created during a certain time period. This is useful to avoid exporting older products.

Customize columns

Select the columns (fields) you want to update. Please note that the columns Article number and Product number are mandatory and always included, as they are needed for the system to identify the products in case of re-importation.

Export processes

  1. Customize parameters
You can combine stock profiles, manufacturers, shipping methods and date ranges to create an export file tailored to your needs.
  2. Export the file
Once you have made all the selections, click on Export to create the file.
  3. Edit in Excel
Open the file in Excel, make the necessary updates, and then save it as a CSV file.
  4. Import updates
Once the changes are done, import the file again via Admin -> Import product. Follow the instructions in the administration portal to ensure a correct import.

These steps allow you to easily perform mass updates in one process, saving time and making product data management more efficient.
